Come to meeting for Rhodes Park Re-design!

PUBLIC INPUT SOUGHT JUNE 15 ON RE-DESIGN FOR RHODES SKATE PARK

Skateboarders and other members of the public are invited to provide feedback for a re-design of skate features for Rhodes Skate Park at a public meeting from 6:00-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 15 at the Boise Public Library Hayes Auditorium 715 S. Capitol Blvd.

Local skateboarders have raised funds to hire Grindline Inc., a Seattle-based firm that specializes in the design and construction of skateparks throughout the country. To learn more, see http://www.grindline.com/

Located at 1555 W. Front St., Rhodes Skate Park is a 1.28-acre special use site in downtown’s Linen District. Local youth helped design the park, which features inline skating and skateboarding. The covered and lighted area features a half-pie, rails and ramps plus a full-length basketball court, restrooms and picnic tables.

For more information about the park, see www.cityofboise.org/parks or call the Boise Parks & Recreation Administration Office at (208) 608-7600.
